Photosynth

I’m still processing this presentation by Blaise Aguera y Arcas, founder of Seadragon, Inc. and co-creator of Photosynth, but I wanted to put this out there for other geeks to ponder and hopefully respond to in greater depth.

Basically, Photosynth is software that takes digital photos and synthesizes them into zoomable, navigable spaces. It’s approximately the coolest thing I’ve ever seen, and I only wish I had half the computer knowledge necessary to understand how it all works.
